Ron Torry graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. To master the knowledge in taxation, accounting, and business, Mr. Torry pursued two postgraduate levels of education. He was first awarded a master's degree in accounting with a specialization in taxation, coupled with a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in legal studies from Liberty University. He is, at the moment, studying for his CFO Certification at Columbia University.

Mr. Torry has an enrolled agent certification, which furnishes him with unlimited practice rights, entitling him to practice taxation and represent the interests of a taxpayer before the Internal Revenue Service. His education and tax training allows him to assist clients with tax preparation, tax planning, and resolution of tax issues, as well as representing them in IRS inquiries, investigations, and hearings. Mr. Torry also practiced accounting and business consulting, in addition to taxation, to help those who require more than taxation solutions.

Mr. Torry has been practicing tax preparation for more than twenty-five years, first preparing tax returns as a part-time business. He started his career in a Washington, DC law firm, as a billing coordinator. Eventually, he became the general manager of a children’s advocacy center owned by the members of the law firm. He later worked as an accountant and project manager for a company that offer services to employees with disability at the United States Capitol. During his stay at the Capitol, Mr. Torry increased his marketing of tax services. Within a short time, Mr. Torry was preparing tax returns for over one hundred government employees. By the end of 2018, he decided to leave his government job and started Ron Torry Tax & Accounting (now Torry & Company and Bluestone Tax Solutions).
